Royal Russell School educates over 1000 girls and boys between the ages of 3 and 18 and is situated on a beautiful green campus of 110 acres in the Shirley Hills near Croydon, only 30 minutes from Central London. We are seeking to appoint a part time Assistant Practitioner to join a team of 3 motivated and enthusiastic Nurses providing 24 hour high quality primary and emergency healthcare, first aid, wellbeing support to boarding and day students and staff in our recently refurbished Medical Centre. The Centre comprises of 2 surgeries, a Counsellor consulting room, GP surgeries, in-patient facilities for boarding students and an on-call nurses flat. The position is term time only, Monday to Friday 8- 4pm.

As an Assistant Practitioner, you'll always work under the direction of a qualified nurse. You will join a team of qualified and supportive Nurses who all play an active role in the development, provision and promotion of health and wellbeing for the School community and provide an essential and important part of the welfare and pastoral support within the School. Your level of training and experience means you can work alone, without supervision. You'll carry out agreed procedures, referring to a professional for guidance when necessary.

You should have excellent clinical and communication skills, high professional standards together with a lively, friendly personality, and strong empathy with young people.
