Giggleswick School is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual to join the School’s Admissions Department. This role is specifically focussed on providing support and deputising for the International Admissions Manager (IAM), to assist in delivering a professional, seamless and first-class service for our international students, agents and families.
Giggleswick School is a co-educational boarding and day school situated in the stunning rural location of the Yorkshire Dales, within walking distance of the popular market town of Settle and just over an hour from both Leeds and Manchester.
The school demonstrates all the characteristics you would expect to find in an excellent independent boarding school. It is exceptionally good at discovering and nurturing individuals’ strengths; it is a friendly, supportive community with excellent pastoral care; it provides a breadth of educational opportunities, subjects, and co-curricular activities; and pupils achieve strong academic performance. All of this is delivered by dedicated, high quality teachers and support staff.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record and proficiency in office-based administration, including, but not exclusive to; letter writing and document creation, excel spreadsheets, email communication, use of databases, telephone skills and filing, both electronically and hard copies.
Outstanding communication skills are essential, including video (e.g. Teams), telephone and face-to-face, with both internal and external parties. Experience of working within School Admissions or within a School environment would be an advantage but is not essential.
