The Platanos Trust is seeking an experienced consultant to support the work in our new academy, Castle Hill Academy. This is a flexible (temporary) part-time post with opportunities to work across the Trust.

Castle Hill Academy is an ambitious school and a new member academy of the Platanos Trust, a growing and high-performing academy trust.  It is a school with very high expectations and a relentless drive for improvement.

This post is suited to someone who has the following attributes:

  • A dynamic person who can think strategically and align their work and support in accordance with the needs of the school and the Trust.
  • Effectively monitor and implement initiatives as directed. 
  • Has an in-depth understanding of the curriculum.
  • The ability to analyse the curriculum and pupil data, and work with staff to systematically improve the provision.
  • Accurate at recognising the needs of the pupils in relation to their learning and progress.
  • Is familiar with the components of ‘outstanding’ teaching and learning.
  • Is an ex-headteacher or Ofsted inspector.


Daily fee (and days) to be mutually agreed between suitable candidates and the Trust.

Successful candidates will be asked to apply for an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check (formerly known as a CRB check) and will be checked against the DBS barred list.
