Applicants need to be willing and able to participate in and support the religious dimension of St Agnes’ Parish Schools. 

Criteria

Applicants should:

  • have a commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith and appropriate Religious  Education qualifications; 
  • have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school;
  • have a commitment to excellence as a classroom teacher;
  • have a commitment to professional growth in accordance with the National Professional Standards for Teachers; 
  • be willing to contribute positively as a committed member of a Professional Learning Community who demonstrates highly effective teaching skills; classroom management and facilitating rich learning through the use of contemporary technologies; 
  • be willing to teach any year level from K-6.

  • Skills and qualities you would bring to the position 
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check 
  • Full registration with NESA
  • Names and contact details of three referees, where possible include a reference from yur parish priest or minister.

St Peter’s Primary is a co-educational Catholic primary school catering for students in Kindergarten through to Year 6. The school is located in Port Macquire, New South Wales and belongs to the Parish of St Agnes. 

St Peter’s Primary first opened in February 1993 with four classes, and has expanded over the years into the campus it is today.

Facilities at St Peter’s Primary include well-resourced learning materials and technology that supports contemporary pedagogy.

Curriculum

The curriculum at St Peter’s include study blocks in both numeracy and literacy and Religious Education is taught to all classes. The school provides a comprehensive music program, an enrichment program and drama and arts programs that contribute to each students holistic education. Students are encouraged to develop their individual sporting skills and many students achieve representative honours. The Parent Friends Association at the school that ensures parents have a voice in the making of their child’s education.
