One of the leading Boys’ Grammar schools requires an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Geography to join an outstanding Department. The post would be ideally suited to a teacher who wishes to broaden his/her experience within an academic school, but newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply. A willingness to be involved with extra-curricular activities such as sport would be a distinct advantage. 

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a six-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. It caters for boys who have been selected for grammar school education from a wide area of South Manchester and North Cheshire. Pupils travel to the school from Wilmslow, Knutsford, Lymm, Warrington, Sale, Urmston, Old Trafford and Cheadle Hulme.

The successful applicant will be remunerated at a level representing their qualifications, skills and experience.

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is an academy school based in Altrincham, Cheshire for boys aged 11-18.

The school was founded in 1912. Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a multi-ethnic seven-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. It caters for boys who have been selected for a grammar school education from a wide area of South Manchester and North Cheshire. The academic results are outstanding and they place the School in the top 20 maintained schools in the country. Our GCSE results are strong in respect of 9/8 grades and our ‘A’ level results in respect of A*/A/B grades. The 2022 Ofsted Report graded the School as ‘Outstanding in all area’.
