Contract dates: September 2021 – July 2022  


The role

Smart Teachers are seeking to recruit a Part time Teaching Assistant to join a two form entry primary school in Greenford, Ealing. The Part time Teaching Assistant will support a pupil in Year 3 with ASD. The role will be for 4 hours per day, 5 days per week (both morning or afternoon hours can be accommodated). The pupil is described as being very well behaved but needs support with focus during lessons. The role is starting in September and will be for the duration of the 2021/2022 academic year. Previous experience working with ASD is desirable but not essential as on the job training can be provided. The school are looking to recruit a Part Time Teaching Assistant who is patient and nurturing.


The school

The school caters for a diverse cohort of pupils, with higher than average percentage of pupils with English as an additional language. The current Head has made a lot of positive improvements, which resulted in the school being awarded ‘Good’ in their last Ofsted. The school prides themselves on their fully inclusive approach. In their most recent inspection Ofsted noted the school “brings out the best in all pupils”. The SLT pride themselves on the happy environment they have created, where pupils are excited about attending school. The school offers spacious classrooms and outside space, good resources and an onsite car park.


Requirements

To be considered for the Part Time Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Hold an enhanced DBS 

• Have previous experience working with children in the UK in the past 2 years
