Wanted: Part-time tutors for primary and secondary aged children, in all subjects; in person and via virtual communication tools.

Do you have teaching experience? Do you enjoy teaching and enabling children to learn but don't have time for the demands of full-time teaching, school admin and emails? Do you want an opportunity for flexible working? Come join our wonderful team of tutors at BrainBuilders!

BrainBuilders provides a tutoring service (as well as afterschool practical maths clubs – see our website for further details) for primary and secondary aged children. We cover all subjects and like to pride ourselves with “thinking outside the box” by ensuring all sessions are fun as well complement the learning that is done in school.  

Our tutors are all experienced in supporting children of all levels, from gifted and talented to SEN support.

BrainBuilders also provides tutors who can support exam preparation for all ages of primary and secondary children. Our sessions are designed to help pupils feel confident and calm under pressure and as well as get to grips with the intricacies of the subject, we will coach students on exam technique. Our tutors have a wealth of experience in a variety of primary and secondary exams and cover the following:

We have a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for teaching and curriculum experience, as we’re expanding and looking for tutors to join our team. Our tutors are current and previous teachers, teaching assistants and teaching students who specialise in anything from Science, Drama, History, English to Maths. 

BrainBuilders was set up by experienced teachers and school leaders who know the importance of hands-on learning in providing deeper understanding and engaging children. Because we are teachers, we also know how all-consuming the job can be and therefore we wanted to create a more flexible work environment for all those who love the profession but want a better work-life balance. 

Tutoring sessions run for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Pay is generous.

You will:

Have curriculum experience (QTS a plus)

Believe that all children can have fun and achieve in all subjects 

Have experience following the curriculum and can adapt in a flexible manner as best suits your tutee

Be patient, compassionate and enjoy teaching

Be reliable and punctual

Be proactive

Closing and Interview Dates: 

Completed application forms must be submitted by 22nd May with interviews held the week commencing 8th June.

Our bespoke clubs combine different subjects with  maths to engage children’s minds and create fun, new and exciting ways to learn.
