Job overview

An exciting opportunity to build and develop partnerships that will advance education.

In line with our strategic ambitions as a charity, we are looking to appoint a Partnerships Director. This is an exciting new position that will be responsible for leading and developing ACS’ partnership strategy and will take responsibility of a stewardship programme to support our charitable objective ‘to advance education’. This is an opportunity to play an exciting and prominent role at ACS and to contribute to its growth and development as a charity.

ACS International Schools is a leading provider of high quality international education, operating schools (day and boarding) that enrol circa 3,500 students between the ages of 3 to 18 from around the world at four campuses in the UK and Qatar. After 50 years as a successful commercial entity, we became a charity in October 2017. This will open up further prospects for the growth and development of their schools, and additional opportunities to broaden the public benefit.

Our internationally renowned IB Diploma and outstanding facilities create an exceptional working environment, where the world comes to teach, learn, and grow as valued individuals. At ACS we offer everyone the chance to feel part of something big. We believe our vision ‘Through learning, inspire all to make a difference’ applies as much to us as to our students. It is a vision that empowers and motivates us to deliver our best.

As a group of leading international schools, our dedication to student success is matched only by our professional desire to attract, retain and develop staff of the highest standard.

The Partnerships Director will ideally bring at least 10 years’ relevant leadership experience in the education sector. This person will have a strong track record in developing strategic partnerships that have led to increased education participation and charitable outcomes and will bring experience of operating in the not-for-profit sector.

The successful candidate will be a culturally-aware and internationally-minded individual who is passionate about widening participation in education. He or she will have strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills, and will bring charisma, energy, enthusiasm and commitment to match ACS International’s ambitions.
