TITLE:  Pastoral Administrator

GRADE:  Grade D, Pt 8 - 11

HOURS/WEEKS:  30 hours per week / 42 weeks per year (39 term time weeks plus 90 annualised hours to be worked according to business need)

WORKING PATTERN:  Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 3pm (these timings include a daily unpaid break of 30 minutes)

RESPONSIBLE TO:  Principal, via Vice Principal (Behaviour and Safety)

CONTRACT STATUS:  Permanent

EFFECTIVE FROM:  September 2022

Chantry Academy is located at the heart of our local community, and is warmly supported by parents and carers.  In September 2022, we will be oversubscribed for the sixth consecutive year, and we are proud to be first choice school for the local area.  It is an exciting time to join our Academy, as building expansion works are close to completion and our PAN is increasing to cater for our growing popularity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Vice Principal (Behaviour and safety), the Pastoral Administrator will primarily be responsible for providing administration support to the pastoral team:

  • Administration of Safeguarding
  • Admissions
  • Exclusions
  • Data
  • Complete referrals to multi-support agencies
  • General Administration

Chantry Academy is an Active Learning Trust secondary school situated in Ipswich, Suffolk. There are approximately 900 pupils at the school between the ages of 11-16.
