Are you ready to make a real and lasting difference? Would you like to be part of a team committed to ensuring that our children and young people achieve their full potential?

We are looking to recruit a Pastoral and Positive Behaviour Lead (term-time only).

Under the direction of the Deputy Headteacher, you will operate the successful school-wide implementation of the pastoral ethos and the positive behaviour strategy.

Acting as Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), you will work with children and young people with autism who present with challenging behaviour.  You will champion and role model the PBS competency framework in alignment with the school autism and behaviour strategy.

You will work in partnership with frontline staff, including the therapy team to develop innovative and person-centred approaches that will enable children and young people to have good educational outcomes and fulfilled and active lives, thereby reducing the probability of behaviour which may challenge.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of working within schools and educational settings which support PBS.  You will ideally have experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour including those with ASD and learning difficulties.  A sound understanding of Safeguarding practices within education settings is a must.

We would be interested to hear from you if you have the knowledge and experience to work in PBS.

Priory Education we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people aged 5 to 25 who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

Tadley Court school is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school with six associated Children's Homes specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 4 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

We offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.

To succeed we need people who share our passion for making a difference and ideally (though not essentially as training will be given) have previous experience of autism. We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and expect all staff to share this commitment.
