An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Pastoral Assistant at Admirals Academy. As a Pastoral Assistant, you will work as part of the Inclusion Team to establish a supportive learning environment for pupils to make good academic progress. You will create and maintain an effective and safe and environment for pupils         


Role Purpose

The successful candidate will have a wide remit to work with children, and their families to support the overcoming of barriers to learning. You will support the development of the Academy Nurture provision, and work in partnership with the Academy Family Support Worker in order to improve pupils behaviour, conduct and welfare, support the development of pupils inter personal skills and attitudes to learning.

Behaviour strategy and curriculum sequence runs across Nursery to Year 6 offering a seamless transition between both Academies with staff working across both Academies. 


Skills & Experience

Applicants must have an English and Maths qualifications to Level 2 (GCSE A-C), or equivalent and an NQV Level 3 relevant to the role (or be willing to obtain this qualification). Applicants must also have completed Mental Health training (or be willing to undertake this).

All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check including the Children's Barred List.
