The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to work as a member of the Pastoral team within the Sixth form at this very popular and successful secondary school of 1,700 students (335 in the Sixth Form). The main objectives of this role are to assist with the pastoral duties of Years 12 and 13, working closely with both of these Heads of Year.

We are looking for a team player with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to achieving high standards.  The post holder will possess relevant qualifications and have had experience in a similar environment. A job description and person specification for this post are attached.

The Department

We have a very strong Pastoral team which is led by a member of the SLT who has overall responsibility for Pastoral care and Safeguarding. The team consists of seven Heads of Year who each take responsibility for one year group from Years 7 to 13, six Pastoral Assistants and a School Chaplain who all work together to offer support to students.   In addition, we have a designated pastoral base from which we can deliver an individual programme of care which may include issues such as behaviour management and emotional health needs.
