Pastoral Deputy Headteacher

St John Fisher Catholic High SchoolPeterborough

Following a change to the structure of SLT, we are seeking a strong, inspirational, highly skilled individual who will already be an experienced Assistant Headteacher or equivalent with a background of outstanding pastoral work.

You will have the skills, energy, drive and ambition to enable students to reach their full potential regardless of their background or barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the Pastoral system and Safeguarding across the school and will lead a strong Pastoral team.

We expect that you will already have extensive experience of leading and developing behaviour systems and attendance at a senior level and will be looking to take on a larger more challenging role to really make a difference to the life chances of young people. This substantial position is ideal for someone looking to move into Headship

We expect the successful candidate to support the Catholic Ethos of the school but do not require them to be a practising Catholic for this particular role. All faiths and none are welcome to apply.

In return, we can offer you a positive, friendly environment where you will be supported to progress further in your career, and a team of staff who are hardworking and dedicated to the school.

St John Fisher is a good school on a journey to outstanding and we would like you to join us on that journey.

Visits to the school are welcome. Please contact Angela Goulding, Headteacher’s PA, on 01733 355505 or angela.goulding@stjohnfisherschool.org.uk. Application packs can be downloaded from the Vacancies section on our website: www.stjohnfisherschool.org.uk; send completed applications by email to: jobs@stjohnfisherschool.org.uk
