About Colne Primet Academy

Since our transformation to an Academy in January 2013, we have been working hard to develop a vision that will see Colne Primet Academy as a key part in the educational journey of young people in Pendle and East Lancashire.

As part of the Pendle Education Trust, a multi academy trust led by Nelson and Colne College, we are confident in our plans to provide the very best education. With the help and assistance of our local outstanding college, we know that we are well on our way to becoming an outstanding school ourselves.

Primet holds an important place in the hearts of many in East Lancashire. Countless young people have received a strong experienced education at the school that has allowed them to progress to fantastic careers and also ensured that they do so as happy, well-adjusted adults.

Colne Primet Academy offers young people a unique balance of academic challenge and personal support, alongside a wealth of opportunities. We aim to make a difference; to develop an awareness and respect for spiritual and moral values, so that students, in turn, can enrich the lives of others. We want our students to leave with the values, knowledge and skills to lead a full and fulfilling life.
