St George’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic PE Coach to join our busy, hardworking team.

Do you have a proven track record of good/outstanding teaching in PE that increases pupils’ skill levels, participation and enjoyment within curricular and extracurricular sports provision?

Can you make the difference in supporting our children to ‘grow in faith and have faith in growing’?


If so, you could be who our Governors are looking for.

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an outstanding and well-motivated PE teacher from September 2019, who will deliver excellent teaching and learning across all aspects of the PE curriculum. They will lead on extracurricular and competitive sports provision across the school and will be highly successful in increasing pupil participation, enjoyment and the adoption of healthy lifestyles.

St. George’s Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the Holy Family Catholic Academy Trust, is a larger than average sized primary academy situated in Littleover, Derby. We have approximately 345 children on roll between Foundation Stage 2 and Year 6. 

We are a “GOOD” academy (OFSTED October ‘17) where our, “Mission as a Catholic academy is a lived experience for staff and pupils.” We have an ethos of, ‘‘overwhelming kindness, inclusion and high standards’’ and “Behaviour is particularly good.”

We have a passionate and dedicated staff team, who are committed to providing an outstanding education for the children.
