PE Teacher

Inspire and transform learning with us. We are looking to appoint an unqualified PE teacher to work across our two academies and to support individuals and groups of students to support high standards of teaching Sports.

Main Areas of Responsibility

As PE Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring high standards of achievement and behaviour in PE lessons.
• Setting appropriate, realistic yet demanding expectations for students' learning, building on prior attainment/knowledge.
• Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
• Identifying students who may require learning support and know where to enlist help if and when required.
• Training and coaching school sports teams to compete and succeed in sporting events
• Providing detailed and regular feedback to teachers on students’ achievement, progress and needs.

Qualifications & Experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualifications to degree level or equivalent
• Experience of working directly with young people in an education or training environment, supporting the learning of students.
• Experience of establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders, at all levels.
• Experience of managing and being responsible for own workload
• Up-to-date knowledge of the UK PE curriculum
• Knowledge of physical exercises, stretching, nutrition and sports recovery
• Knowledge of different rules and regulations for sports, including athletics and team sports
