PE Teacher - April or September 2021 Start

Canary Wharf College (Glenworth) seeks a PE teacher for April or September 2021.

We seek an ambitious and energetic professional, committed to the highest standard of learning at all levels, to join this highly effective and happy team as a PE teacher.

This is a full-time teaching across the whole primary age group, with responsibility for extra-curricular activities and fixtures.

Glenworth is a fabulous place to work.  In this multi-cultural school community, pupils are well-behaved and motivated with good discipline and supportive families.  The staff team is creative and enthusiastic and has been providing a high standard of innovative education over the course of the lockdown.

The school is part of a highly successful multi-academy trust and is rated Outstanding.  Routines and collaborative working are embedded in our practice, but we constantly seek to improve our work and thus seek energetic innovators.  The Trust welcomes staff and pupils from all faiths while operating within a Christian ethos.

Glenworth is based in a quiet setting in the heart of the Isle of Dogs in Tower Hamlets, yet close to Mudchute and Island Gardens DLR and central London.  The school works long days, balanced by shorter terms.

This position would suit a newly-qualified teacher or someone with more experience looking for a new challenge.  We are firmly committed to staff CPD at all levels.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the application deadline once a sufficient number of applications have been received.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be subject to enhanced DBS checks and references.

Closing date: 12:00 on Friday 5th March but early applications are encouraged.
