We are seeking an experienced individual with established Personal Assistant experience and highly developed inter-personal skills. This position is essential in assisting the Head of Secondary in their role as the Leader of our Secondary School by providing efficient, professional administrative support and highly confidential secretarial services.


Coordinating the efficient workflow, diary and events of the Head of Secondary the ideal candidate will possess the following:
 

- Demonstrated experience in a senior administrative support role;

- Secretarial/administrative qualifications or equivalent industry experience;

- Strong IT capability with advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite;

- A high level of discretion, loyalty and commitment to maintain utmost confidentiality and privacy requirements;

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask;

- Ability to negotiate solutions, meet deadlines, handle complex workloads, problem solve and remain calm under pressure;

- Eligibility for a Working with Children Suitability Card (Blue Card).


A high level of emotional intelligence, excellent communication skills and diplomacy are essential in this role, along with the ability to carry out all duties with initiative, accuracy and integrity whilst observing the protocols and traditions of a vibrant Christian school. 


The PA to the Head of Secondary will also need to be welcoming, alert and proactive in liaising with staff and parents and the wider community. 


Experience working within an Educational setting is highly desirable.

Genesis Christian College is a mixed, non-selective, Christian, all-through independent school in Queensland, serving students from the age of 4-18. The all-through school is situated in Bray Park. There are approximately 1,500 students on roll, and 160 members of staff.

Genesis Christian College opened in 1991. The school has a strong Christ-centred focus and believes in maintaining strong relationships between staff and parents to ensure a successful and positive learning environment for all.

Curriculum

Genesis Christian College offers a broad and balanced learning curriculum across the year groups, with dedicated teaching staff working to nurture individuals' skills and talents so that everyone is able to reach their full potential. Additional support is available for pupils with learning difficulties, while careers advice and work experience opportunities are provided for older pupils. In Year 11, Vocation Educational and Training (VET) programmes are offered as part of the syllabus, offering a career-focused practical pathway. A wide range of extracurricular activities, ranging from sports to drama club, are also available for pupils to get involved with new experiences outside of the classroom.
