PERSONAL CARE TEACHING ASSISTANT 

Part-time Temporary 30 hours per week

  (8.15am to 2.50pm with 35 minutes lunch break) 

Term time only  Salary G3 (£16,863- £18,072 pro rata)  

(Temporary up to 31st August 2019 in the first instance)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, suitably experienced and qualified person to start as soon as possible (flexible for appropriate candidate) to support a specific pupil in school with a physical disability.  

The successful applicant must have experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age, be able to undertake a personal care role in school and have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the pupil.

 It should be noted that it is a requirement of the Governors of Golborne High School that candidates should, whenever    possible, name as referees current and former employers (via Heads or Principals where employment at educational institutions is concerned)

Golborne High School, a co-educational secondary school of around 1,200 pupils, is located near to Wigan, Greater Manchester. Providing places for pupils aged 11-16, Golborne High is a foundation cooperative trust school, forming a key part of the GoalCo Trust, a network of schools and colleges situated in and around Wigan.

The GoalCo cooperative was established in 2010, but the secondary school itself first opened its doors in 1954.
