Personal Tutor

Condover College Ltd is an independent specialist FE College for students aged between 19 – 25 with SLD/PMLD autism and other complex needs and we offer places for both day and residential students. Our curriculum focuses on supporting communication, independence and personal & social  development to enable students to access a wide variety of activities both during their time at College and afterwards.

The Personal Tutor role involves responsibility for a group of tutees including:

• creating and evaluating Individual Learning Plans for assigned tutees with individualised learning targets
• writing termly student progress reports, end of year student progress reports and other progress reports for assigned tutees 
• leading Tutorials for assigned tutees
• liaising with parents/guardians, key workers, scheme managers as appropriate
• preparing for and participating in annual review meeting
• design, plan and deliver sessions both in the classroom and community settings

• create a stimulating learning environment to ensure students achieve their targets, goals and aspirations

• work as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with parents, residential homes and outside agencies

Contract type: Full or Part Time (40 weeks) up to 37 hours per week
