We are a Humanities Specialist College which became an all through school in September 2012.  We achieved IIP Gold in December 2013. At Waverley we try to create an environment which allows everyone to develop mutual respect for each other and a respect for learning.  

Waverley School is a friendly and welcoming all through school for pupils ages 4 -19, with a resource base for pupils with cognitive and learning difficulties.  Our school community benefits greatly from our landmark award winning buildings that provide everyone with state of the art facilities for learning, teaching and training.  At Waverley School we promote a culture of ‘Learning Through Diversity’.  We are a forward thinking school with the highest of ambitions for all our pupils.  

As part of the exciting growth plans for the School, we are expanding our team to meet future requirements.  We are looking for an experienced and influential practitioner to join our team as Physics Lead – Science.   You will be required to maintain an effective teaching team which continually enhances the quality of learning and achievement.  You will also be required to support the development of Science and to support/lead on an aspect of data and reporting to develop the work of the faculty and identify intervention to ensure all students achieve.  Good leadership, time management and interpersonal skills are essential

The successful candidates will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Waverley School is a co-educational, all-through school located in Birmingham, West Midlands. It has around 1800 pupils across its primary, secondary and sixth-form departments. The school is part of the Waverley Education Foundation, a multi-academy trust that also operates the local Waverley Studio College.

Waverley School became an all-through school in 2012 and moved to a new site in 2013. It is proud of its diverse student intake.
