Are you interested in making a difference for the most vulnerable learners in our academy? As our PLC manager, you will work closely with subject leaders and the SEND department to devise modified timetables and individualised support to our most vulnerable learners. This may include researching and delivering alternative curriculum courses and non-academic interventions such as anger management or sessions to improve self-belief.
You need to have a real desire to make a difference to children’s lives but also have a firm but fair manner as you may be dealing with students who struggle to modify their behaviour and require clear boundaries. You will also need to build relationships with external agencies that can support students who have a variety of external barriers that impact on their learning.
Outwood Grange Academy places students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning, and increased student outcomes whilst developing their social and emotional resilience.
