Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse

Home-based or office location - open for discussion with candidates

Flexible working opportunity - up to 36.25 hours per week

Ref: HO927

The Centre of expertise on child sexual abuse for England and Wales has been established with Home Office funding to help bring about significant and system-wide change in how child sexual abuse is responded to locally and nationally. We will do this by identifying, generating and sharing high quality evidence of what works to prevent and tackle child sexual abuse (including child sexual exploitation), to inform both policy and practice.

Following the successful recruitment of a number of talented individuals to join our Practice Improvement team, we are now looking to appoint a Practice Improvement Adviser with a specific remit for schooling.

This role will develop, manage and deliver strategies and plans for improving practice in identifying and preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation in schools across England and Wales, and manage partner relationships at a high level within the field of primary and secondary education.

The scope of influence is huge. You will work closely with professional colleagues, practitioners, advisory and steering group stakeholders and develop active networks with a wide range of national bodies, funders, commissioning authorities, service users, Multi Agencies and partners in practice across England and Wales.

If you are excited by this challenge and feel you have the level of skills and experience to meet it, please follow this link for further details and an application form: https://www.csacentre.org.uk/about-us/work-for-the-centre/

This role is open to applicants who may wish to work flexibly, including part-time work. Working from home may also be a possibility. There will however be a requirement for travel within the UK.

Secondment applications are also encouraged.

The role is likely to be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Closing date: 22 August 2017.
Interview date: 4 September 2017.
