Pre -School Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Old Vicarage School is a thriving and successful independent day school for girls aged 3 – 11 years located in Richmond, Surrey. We are seeking a warm, inspirational, responsible and well-organised teacher to work in our Little Vic Pre-School class which operates from separate premises close to the main school.  

The safe and stimulating environment at Little Vic enables our girls to flourish and develop. The School has opted out of the EYFS curriculum, although it provides a framework for our own curriculum which is designed to give the girls the skills they need to become confident learners. 

You will be working alongside the Head of Little Vic, and share the support of a dedicated Teaching Assistant and Administrator.  You will be expected to deputise for the Head of Little Vic in her absence. 

Applicants must hold a minimum Level 4 qualification in Early Childhood Studies and have at least two years experience of EYFS teaching.  A QTS or EYTS qualification would be highly desirable.  You should be supportive and sympathetic to the ethos of teaching in an independent school.

This post is offered for a minimum of two terms with a possibility of this being extended.

The salary will be competitive, based on the candidate’s skills and experience. The School currently participates in the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
