Our new state of the art building houses over 1500 students within the age range 4 – 18 and is based in Edgware North London. Our location offers good transport links and easy access via major roads and motorway networks.

We are now looking for a Premises Assistant to support us with the smooth running of our school site and buildings. 


This is an exciting time to join our committed community of staff who are striving to create a centre of outstanding teaching and learning in an urban context. The successful candidate will be entrusted to maintain positive relationships with staff, students, contractors, suppliers, hirers and the general public.


The Key Tasks of the role will be: -


• Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of premises, including buildings, fixtures, fittings and furniture.

• Undertake inspections to ensure necessary safe operation and that the legislative requirements are met regarding powered equipment, machinery, chemicals, ladders etc.

• To carry out general porterage duties and storing away of any furniture or other equipment that may be required for any functions.

• To carry out any cleaning duties that may be required both in school and in the school grounds and to carry out and janitorial tasks as required.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work constructively as part of a team and will have some understanding of Facilities roles and responsibilities, previous experience as a Caretaker would be useful.


They will have excellent organisational and communication skills and basic experience in premises maintenance, along with knowledge of corresponding health and safety issues. 


Whilst not essential, a clean driving licence is desirable
