We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and committed Premises Assistant

This role exists to support the Premises Manager in the structural upkeep and maintenance of all areas of the school on both sites.  This role will involve working on either our North or South campus at any one time (tba) and will also contain periods of covering for the Senior Premises Assistant on an occasional basis.

You will support the Premises Manager in all aspects of their role including the security, maintenance and development of the premises so that as a resource it most effectively supports the educational needs of the students.  You will be required to ensure the security and safety of the premises and its contents, thereby ensuring all stakeholders have a secure, safe and pleasant working environment.  You may be asked to carry out transport duties as and when required so you will need a full driving licence.  Additionally you will be required to physically assist with the maintenance of the site & grounds including the liaison and with external contractors as required.  Experience of plumbing and of working in a school setting would both be advantageous, but not essential.  We welcome applications from all relevant industries.

Elizabeth Woodville School has approximately 1000 students and 185 staff and is split over 2 sites approximately 20 minutes apart.  Each site is approximately 60 years old and contains a mix of brick buildings and prefabricated classrooms.

There are many benefits to working for Elizabeth Woodville School and we can offer the successful candidate a rewarding career in Elizabeth Woodville School which is part of Tove Learning Trust (TLT), a multi-academy trust based across Northamptonshire and the Midlands. Our member academies, of which there are seven, are mixed comprehensive secondary schools with a shared vision and purpose: to deliver inspiring educational experiences that lead to outstanding outcomes.  Each academy has a strong individual identity and tailors their educational provision to serve their local community.

We look forward to receiving your application.

Our school is located on two sites, Roade (North campus) and Deanshanger (South campus). There are however many benefits to us being on two sites, including access to excellent sporting facilities, a broad and balanced curriculum with a range of options to choose in key stage 4 and good quality staff. The most important benefit for our students is that each site has an excellent pastoral system which means that all students are known, and no one becomes just a number.

Our ambition is to create an exciting and vibrant learning community where students enjoy success in and outside of the classroom.

Our school values of: ambition, confidence, curiosity, leadership and respect are important as they are qualities which will enable our students to succeed whatever their future ambitions.

We believe that all staff and pupils should be treated with respect and have built a culture based on respect for each other, resilience to meet new challenges and take responsibility for our actions and our learning. Our recent Ofsted report confirms that we are going in the right direction and that we have a clear understanding of what we need to improve and how to improve.

Elizabeth Woodville joined the Tove Learning Trust in November 2016. We are a close knit family of schools that have a shared vision and purpose: to deliver outstanding educational experiences that lead to inspiring outcomes. Each academy has a strong individual identity and tailors their educational provision to serve their local community. Academies within the Trust collaborate to share expertise and maximise opportunities and experiences for our staff and students.
