Part Time - 20 hours per week (7.00-11.00am), Monday to Friday

44 weeks a year (term time plus 25 working days during the school holidays - February half term, one week at Easter, three weeks during the summer holidays)

We are currently looking to appoint a Premises Assistant to work predominantly at our Greenwich Peninsula all through school campus, a brand new building that opened in November 2018, with a possible requirement to work across our other two school campuses in East Greenwich and Woolwich, if required from time to time.

The role will include:  

  • Supporting the Facilities Manager in his day-to-day work   
  • Opening and locking up the school premises   
  • Running programs, tests and inspections   
  • Litter picking/sweeping up   
  • Gardening, including weeding and maintenance of the plants/flowers   
  • Window cleaning   
  • Minor repairs where necessary

St Mary Magdalene C of E School is a co-educational, all-through school based in Greenwich, south-east London. The school has both primary and secondary phases. The secondary phase has approximately 560 students aged 11-18 and 80 staff. 

St Mary Magdalene C of E School is part of the wider Koinonia Federation – a federation of two schools located over four sites that work together as one team. Facilities include a sports hall, library, science labs, drama and dance studio.  Religious Studies, the school's specialism, is a central element of the curriculum. St Mary Magdalene C of E School aims to teach pupils to treat others as they would expect to be treated. The pastoral structure of the school ensures that every student is known individually. Children are provided with opportunities to develop their mentoring and leadership skills. The school specialises in Religious Studies and collective worship is a key part of each school day. Teachers intend collective worship, which is led by senior leaders or the School Chaplain, to be a creative and responsive time that follows the Anglican calendar and also acknowledges the key dates of other faiths.    

Inspections

St Mary Magdalene All Through School was inspected by SIAMS in 2018 and was graded Outstanding in all areas.  It was also inspected by Ofsted in 2018 and was graded GOOD in all areas.
