Wallington & Rushy Meadow Primary Academies are looking for a friendly and reliable person with a hands-on approach and a 'can-do' attitude who can help us maintain and develop our two premises to the highest possible standard. The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and dedicated person with practical experience.Previous experience of small DIY jobs and repairs and any prior experience or knowledge of basic building maintenance and repairs would be advantageous.The candidate must also be willing to develop their skills and take on additional responsibility, in time, with all necessary training provided.Working with a Trust Academy Premises Manager, the role will involve ensuring that the school meets Health & Safety standards and is welcoming, clean, well maintained, safe and secure at all times.You must be hardworking, focussed and willing to be flexible with hours and tasks.This is initially for the first half term (15th February 2021 – 11th April 2021) a part-time post – 24 hours per week term time plus 4 weeks. From 12th April 2021 onwards the post will become a full-time position of 36+6 = 42 hrs per week and the hours will be a split shift between the two sites. Both the school sites are open from 7.00 am to 18:00 with occasional lettings in the evening and some weekends for which overtime will be paid. You will typically work 4.5 hours per day when part time and 8.5 hours per day when full time. This will be a split shift working mornings at one site and afternoons at the other with a midday 2.5 hour rest break. The daily working pattern will be confirmed during the interview process and agreed with the successful candidate.

Salary: NJC 1C/3, scale points 2 to 6 FTE £21,030-£22,587

Pro rata : 24 hours / Term time plus 4 weeks £12,921.58 (15th February – 11th April 2021)

36+6 hours / Term time plus 4 weeks £22,612.76 (12th April 2021 onwards)

Wallington and Rushy Meadow Primary academies have 330 and 370 pupils aged 3 to 11, which includes Nursery and Special Auditory unit.
