Ewell Castle is a small, thriving independent school located in Ewell Village, one mile outside Epsom in leafy Surrey. The school is fully co-educational from Nursery to Sixth Form and enjoys small classes, averaging approximately fifteen over the whole School. Ewell Castle is well known for its pastoral care of pupils and the vibrant community spirit within the School.
Ewell Castle Preparatory School requires a strong, passionate teacher with the relevant experience to teach Key Stage 2, probably a Year 6 class. The role is suitable for a recently qualified or a newly qualified teacher as well as those with more experience. The ability to teach games and Computing/ICT would be an advantage.
The Prep School has two classes per year group from Nursery to Year 5 and three classes in Year 6. Teachers assume responsibilities for subject areas and there are specific responsibilities assumed for Early Years, Learning Support (incl. EAL), Sport, Drama and Music. Teaching staff are supported with appropriate numbers of Teaching Assistants.
The school has a fine reputation in the fields of Sport and the Arts, and sets great store by its extra-curricular provision. The focus is clearly upon the whole child and achieving the potential of each individual pupil in academic and other areas.
