About Kennedy House International School

Kennedy House is one of the youngest but fastest growing private schools in East Africa. It is a co-educational day school for about 100 pupils aged 2-13.

We are located at the epicentre of the premium tourist destination in the world! The school is set in beautiful grounds, surrounded by extinct volcanoes, African bush and a host of national parks such as the Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Tarangire. The school stands in a truly idyllic setting between Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru, surrounded by avocado and coffee plantations. We are blessed with extensive and mature grounds, recently refurbished buildings and specialist teaching rooms for music, Art and science The ‘outdoors’ plays a huge part in our school and we are surrounded by sports pitches, gardens, hard netball/tennis courts and a 25m swimming pool.

Our pupils leaving Kennedy House often progress on to one of several international schools in Northern Tanzania, as well as private schools in Kenya, South Africa, Australia or the UK.  The school has a lively and thriving environment with a committed staff.  In addition to classroom duties staff take an active part in all aspects of school life and pastoral care is strong.

There is a strong commitment to excellence in the wider curriculum and pupils are encouraged to play a full part in all aspects of school life both in the classroom and in the numerous after school and extra curricular activities and initiatives.

Staff and children play an important role in community development and we work closely with one local school in particular. We have recently raised funds and built a playground and working toilets for the school.

Staff are involved in offering activities after school, running sports teams and supporting whole school events.
