Makuhari International School is a dual-language school (English and Japanese) delivering programmes for K1-G6 (Nursery to Year 7) using a unique international curriculum based on the Japanese National Curriculum, but modified where appropriate. The MIS curriculum model allows children to transfer to local junior high schools as well as other international schools. MIS opened its doors in April 2009. Currently there are 385 children on roll. MIS was awarded fully accredited status with CIS in July 2017.
Makuhari International School possesses an award-winning campus, with first-rate facilities and excellent resources. It is located 30 minutes by train from Tokyo.
Primary Class Teachers
Candidates must have at least two years’ recent experience and possess QTS or a teacher licence for the 3-10 (K-6) age-range. Experience with new learners of English will be an advantage.
