We seek to appoint a highly competent and inspirational primary school teacher to teach at Year 4 - 6 level, ideally with a passion for literacy instruction or educational technology. The use of well differentiated, formative assessment practices are required. A willingness to contribute to the school’s extra-curricular holistic programme by getting involved in the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, coaching sports or assisting with the school Arts programme is needed.

An ability to work within a British Curriculum framework is needed, as is the ability to work in an environment where English is the medium of instruction.

The HELP International School invites you to join the team of this progressive and forward-thinking community of learners. The school is at the forefront of holistic education for 3 to 18-year olds in Malaysia. Entering its seventh year of operation, it has enjoyed phenomenal growth with 1400 students on its roll. The school is now entering a new and exciting phase of its development as it implements its new strategic plan, supported by further investment in buildings and resources.

A recent consultation with staff highlighted the levels of collegiality and professional support amongst staff as a particular strength of the school, as its commitment to on-going professional development of all team members. Founded in 2014, HIS is the fastest-growing private school in Malaysia and has received the 5-Star SKIPS (Malaysia Private Education Institution Quality System) rating from the Ministry of Education.

HIS started strongly with 500 students in its inaugural intake in January 2014. It now has a total population of 1,400 students of 25 nationalities.

The School was awarded the status of Apple Distinguished School in 2017 and again in 2019. It received IPC accreditation in 2018 with a Mastery in International Mindedness. The Schools Curriculum

HIS uses the National Curriculum of England as the key guide for its programmes of study. The school offers Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes in the upper secondary years. For admissions, students applying for a place in the school are subjected to CAT4 assessment with an English proficiency test as a written component. The academic progression assessment is supported by year group CAT4 testing in Years 3, 6, and 9 and GL Progress Tests from Years 4 to 9.

HIS is also an inclusive school with a Special Education Needs offering: 10% capped seats in each year group to support students with special learning needs.
