Northern Education Trust (NET) is a charitable education Trust with an improving track record for school improvement. The Trust sponsors 20 academies; 10 secondary and 10 primaries across the North of England in ten Local Authority regions.

NET relentlessly focuses on standards because we know outcomes are paramount. Our decision making is driven entirely by what is best for children. A large number of new systems and procedures continue to be implemented and are already having a significant impact on the life chances of children across the Trust and this has been recognised in recent Ofsted inspections.

Starting as soon as possible, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and flexible ICT support specialist. The role requires a high level of independent working as the successful applicant will take sole responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the ICT infrastructure across the primary academies in our Southern region. Line management will be undertaken by the Regional ICT Manager and support available from the Trust’s wider ICT team.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of general hardware and software as well as being highly organised and having excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The ability to work on own initiative as well as part of team is essential and experience of working in an ICT support role or similar would be an advantage.

Northern Education Trust is committed to safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. This post is subject to an enhanced disclosure and barring service check. We expect all adults who work for the Trust to share our commitment to safeguarding and the health and wellbeing of our students.
