Due to a rapidly growing roll, The English College, Dubai, seeks a part time music teacher for the Primary School for August 2021.  With a growth mindset and high expectations, the successful candidates will be part of an outstanding Primary department, focused on creating the best artistic environment for our learners to further grow and develop in the arts. 

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their capacity to meet our Primary school vision:

Move forward together with high expectations to develop all our students holistically through personalised learning programmes and strong interpersonal relationships. Integrate the school values into all areas of school life to develop happy young people equipped with the knowledge, attitude and skills necessary to succeed in life. 

Therefore, a dynamic and creative approach to teaching with the ability to inspire and motivate students with a diverse range of artistic talents and abilities is a must. 

Equally, the successful candidates will need to be sympathetic with the ethos and values of The English College. We are looking for highly committed team players with the drive, energy and passion to develop this forward-looking school.  You should also illustrate the ability to help students achieve their absolute best as part of a team, a proactive commitment to the pastoral care and well-being of our learners, and a willingness to contribute to the thriving extra-curricular life of our school.

Successful applicants will:

Be enthusiastic, talented and dedicated practitioners with excellent subject knowledge in music or art (or both)

  • Hold a QTS, PGCE or other teaching qualification
  • Have a minimum of two years’ experience of teaching
  • Be able to provide a police check from their country of residence
  • Be professional in appearance and conduct
  • Be willing to contribute to the wider curriculum and support the vision of the school
  • Be an innovative practitioner who is prepared to take risks
