About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes.  As a qualified teacher you will be a fluent English speaker, familiar with the UK curriculum and passionate about teaching performing arts to students across both the Primary and Secondary stages of learning with a particular focus on music and the ability to offer dance or drama.  You will have a desire to teach the Juilliard Creative Curriculum (JCC) that is offered in all Nord Anglia Education schools. You will be comfortable teaching students of all abilities across the complete age range. You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology: someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as the classroom.

Our school has around 600 international students with a wide range of backgrounds. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of teaching and learning, for encouraging a culture of inspiration, enjoyment and success. Music is strong here, and our partnership with Juilliard ensures that students enjoy a rich learning experience.  Our Music Technology suites allow pupils to explore and develop their own skills and creativity.

About you

Able to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, you will be an expert in your specialist subject, have a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement and personal investment within the classroom. You will be an excellent communicator and confident with technology: someone who gets on well with colleagues, students and parents. Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life as well as the classroom. You won’t be afraid of hard work and will be relentlessly focused on giving our students opportunities for success both in and beyond the classroom. Selection Process

The closing date for application is Friday January 12th.  First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 29th January 2018 (alternative arrangements may be made for candidates who cannot attend in person)
