Job overview

This is an excellent opportunity to build on your previous experience and to lead Goresbrook Primary as part of an all through school. As the Principal, you will combine the autonomy of leading the Primary school, working in close collaboration with the Secondary Principal in a co-headship role. You will also benefit from being part of a national group of schools.

United Learning is a successful national group of academies and independent schools which share a mission to bring out ‘the best in everyone’ and improve the life chances of the children and young people.

Goresbrook School is one of the six schools within a local cluster based within East London. The East London primary cluster has a highly effective school-to-school collaboration systems in place, supporting staff development and school improvement.

As Principal, you will model excellence and demonstrate a clear commitment to the school and its communities. Your expertise and enthusiasm for education and the difference it makes to the lives of children and families will be evident each day, in all that you do.

United Learning values diversity and inclusion and is committed to creating and sustaining a more ethnically diverse workforce. In this regard we would not only welcome applications from professionals of minority ethnic origin, but from majority ethnic professionals who share our commitment.

If you are looking for an exciting and highly rewarding role within a Group that offers excellent professional development, and if you have a strong commitment to improving the lives of all young people, we encourage you to visit us.

United Learning

Goresbrook School is part of United Learning, a large and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
