Further Information

Thames British School is a new and expanding school. Our preschool campus opened its doors in September 2018 and we opened a second campus outside Warsaw accommodating children from Nursery to Year 6 in September 2019. From September 2020, this campus will extend to cater for students up to Year 9. We will also be operating from two new campuses in the centre of Warsaw, and we will be accommodating students from Year 2 to Year 13 within these sites.

The school’s mission is to encourage our children to go further than they thought possible by nurturing resilience, cooperation and enthusiasm in a safe environment. Our approach to the National Curriculum for England provides broad and balanced educational experiences through encouraging children to take ownership of their learning.

It is an exciting time for our school as we are in the process of applying for accreditation from Cambridge. This will further extend opportunities for our teachers to develop within our school and the wider community of Cambridge schools.

About Thames British School - Park Szczesliwicki Campus

A River of Education

Thames British School Warsaw is a new international, community-minded school in Warsaw, offering pupils from 2.5 years old to 14 years old the National Curriculum for England. Our aim is to lay the foundations for our pupils to improve the world they will inherit through promoting resilience, cooperation and enthusiasm within a safe and caring community. The school is in its second year of operation and currently goes from Nursery to Year 9.

Our Teachers

Every class from Nursery to Year 9 has a British-qualified Class Teacher and a Support Teacher attached. Our teachers are experienced, caring and professional and we strongly emphasise pupil focused teaching in order to ensure that our teachers develop alongside their pupils.

Our Facilities

Thames British School Warsaw has three sites with excellent facilities operating in and around Warsaw. Two located in the Ochota district of Warsaw, near the scenic Park Szczęśliwicki and the other just outside of Warsaw in the suburbs near Piaseczno.

Piaseczno Campus:

Our Piaseczno Campus is a new, purpose-built facility to the south of Warsaw and accepts pupils from 2.5 to 14 years – Nursery to Year 9. From September 2021, there will be classes though to Year 11.

Much like an educational haven, it is located outside the city allowing pupils to feel safe within our campus away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The rustic backdrop means our school is surrounded by scenic flora and fauna, giving children a natural and aesthetic setting to expand their curiousity with modern classroom and learning tools and facilities.

Park Szczęśliwicki Campus:

Our Park Szczęśliwicki Campus is a self-contained Early Years facility near the centre of Warsaw and accepts pupils from 2.5 to 5 years – Nursery to Year 1.

Located next to the picturesque Park Szczęśliwicki, with top class facilities, our Early Years facility contains many opportunities for children to experience the wonders of nature whilst still being located within easy reach of the many districts of Warsaw.

Wawelska Campus:

Our Wawelska Campus is a stately building that houses our primary school and accepts pupils from 6 to 11 years – Year 2 to Year 6.

It is located on a historic site protected by national heritage laws, surrounded by a beautiful garden and within easy reach of the University district and city centre of Warsaw.

Warsaw

The capital of Poland is a cosmopolitan and safe place to live and it benefits from a high standard of living (with the cost of living being surprisingly low) and economic growth. It is also a member of the EU and has incredibly close ties to Britain.
