Situated in the prestigious Lozenets district of Sofia, preceded over by stunning views of the picturesque Vitosha mountain, St. George International School & Preschool is dedicated to the education and social development of students from age 4-19.

The school has recently moved to a new, custom built site boasting state of the art science labs, classrooms and large expo areas thanks to recent investments in the organisation. A brand new sports complex including a swimming pool and several gyms is due for completion in time for the start of the new academic year. 

At St. George International School & Preschool, we believe that each child should be provided with the tools and support they need to succeed academically. Class sizes in primary are capped at 18 to enable staff to dedicate enough time to cater for each student’s individual needs.

St. George International School and Preschool aims to provide both Bulgarian, and International Qualifications following Cambridge, EDEXCEL and The International Primary Curriculum programmes. We currently have a student body of just over 250 pupils, but envisage expansion up to 650 over the next three years.

In the light of our organisation’s growth we are looking for:

PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS (YEARS 2-6) (possible coordinator roles available)

To be considered for a position, you must have competed a PGCE (or equivalent) and have at least two years’ experience in a UK state school. Experience teaching Cambridge Primary, and The International Primary Curriculum will be an advantage. This role is not suitable for NQT’s.

Your main responsibilities will be:


  • To plan, organise and conduct exciting, dynamic lessons 
  • To assess and monitor student achievement
  • To provide pastoral support to your students
