About the School

GEMS Al Barsha National School (Boys and Girls), Dubai, is new school which opened in September 2016. It offers an inspirational curriculum based on the National Curriculum for England with Arabic language and UAE culture, heritage and tradition at the heart of everything. As an all-through educational provision, the school currently caters for children from FS1 to Year 9 with plans to grow to Year 13 in successive years. The school enjoys a prime location making it easily accessible to everything that Dubai has to offer as well as other Emirates. As well as being a fabulous place to work, Dubai is a vibrant, cosmopolitan, rapidly expanding city where the sun shines all year round. About the Role

We are currently recruiting a Primary Senior Lead to join our team from September 2018.
 
This role will work closely with the Head of Primary on the standards of progress and attainment in Primary. You will lead on Curriculum and line manage NCfE core subject leaders. 

Skills required:

  • To be relentlessly positive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of KS1 and KS2
  • Understanding how to use data to inform planning
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues to raise standards of learning and teaching
  • Ability to hold colleagues to account if required
  • Excellent pupil pastoral support skills

The successful candidate will be experienced in NCfE and have experience leading colleagues in a large primary school or through school. Experience from a multicultural city school or international school is also required.
