NIS Jakarta provides a premium education for expat and local families looking for a dynamic British, international curriculum in South Jakarta. Our natural environment is a green oasis of learning where every child is nurtured to succeed academically, socially and personally. Currently catering to students from Pre-Nursery-Year 6, from more than 20 nationalities, we are a small school poised for growth and development.

About the role

We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect within the classroom, facilitating learning through questioning and discussion. 


About you

Able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will bring a degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practice to raise achievement.

Keen to collaborate and share your expertise, you will be a fitting ambassador for the school. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, building strong relationships with parents and students. You will also be able to meet visa-related restrictions for Indonesia. All candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, qualified teacher status or equivalent, and have 5 years teaching experience.

Selection Process

The closing date for application is 30 January 2019.   First stage interviews will be conducted by Skype or telephone and final interviews will take place at the Nord Anglia Education Recruitment Event in central London in the week commencing 21st January 2019 (alternative arrangements will be made for candidates who cannot attend in person). 

Start Date:  Initial contract is for two years starting in August 2019.
