About Cite Scolaire Internationale Anglophone Section

Cité Scolaire Internationale is a French international school located in the French city of Lyon. The school’s Anglophone Section is intended to provide English-language teaching within the French system of education. The school teaches at both primary and secondary level, following the standard French state system of education albeit with additional subject and examination options. An independent school, it makes use of anglophone teaching methods and native English-speaking staff.

Students follow the standard French curriculum, working their way towards the International Option of the French Baccalaureate (otherwise known as the OIB), a diploma with bilingual subject matter. This is a level 3 qualification, equivalent to a British A-level or an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Students are also put through English-language iGCSE examinations, ensuring their strong grasp of the language. Outside the classroom, the school also offers a number of extra-curricular opportunities for its pupils, including numerous competitive sports opportunities, as well as running lunchtime clubs for a number of subjects and hobbies. The school supports its curriculum with a range of modern teaching and recreational facilities.
