An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pupil Support Teacher in an intensive support class in the Primary department at Breadalbane Academy.
Breadalbane Academy is an inclusive school with an enhanced resource to meet the needs of young people in the school within a small group setting. The needs are wide ranging with individuals requiring support to overcome multiple barriers to learning.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills, a strong background of innovative and engaging learning experiences and a knowledge and interest in good practice in meeting additional support needs.
The successful applicant with ideally have experience of teaching children with complex additional support needs.
You will be responsible for managing the learning of children with a range of additional support needs. You should have skills in delivering learning experiences which are engaging, challenging and developed to meet the individual needs of all children.
You will be able to display skills in collaborative working with all stakeholders and in doing so, working in a supportive and engaging manner.
You should have a range of strategies to ensure that children are heathly, safe, engaging and achieving.
You will be responsible for leading and managing support for children in an Intensive Support Provision class and will be able to work collaboratively with multi-agency partners and other staff within the school.
You will be supported by a pupil support assistant and other staff to ensure that children's needs are met.
