St Joseph’s is a co-educational, Catholic primary school catering for students from kindergarten through to Year 6. The school is located in the Diocese of Matiland-Newcastle on the western shores of Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. There are around 270 students enrolled.

The school was originally built in 1956 and staffed by the Sisters of Mercy, following Toronto becoming a parish in 1955. In 1973 the “Black” Sisters of St Joseph from Lochinvar took over the school. In 1964 the first lay teacher began, since then the school has been entirely staffed by lay teachers. The school and church moved to its present site at Kilaben Bay in 1984.

Principal

Leigh Peacock
