Job overview
Primary Trained Teacher to work in our
KS3 Maths, English or Science department (MPS)
Part time or Full time post considered
Required for September 2019
We are seeking to appoint a primary specialist to work with our Year 7 and 8 pupils in either one or a combination of Maths, English and Science departments. Schemes of work are in place and you will be very well supported with the move to secondary education. We are seeking to further strengthen the transition between year 6 and 7 and feel that we would benefit from the experience of a second primary specialist to join the one currently in post.
No specific subject qualification needed but experience of subject leadership of one of these areas at Primary is an advantage but not essential
You will be employed by the Multi Academy Trust which consists of five schools led by Sidney Stringer Academy. We welcome applications for full time or part time teachers and NQT’s are welcome to apply.
Although the school was placed in special measures at the end of 2016 there have been significant improvements which were recognised in the last Ofsted monitoring visit.
If you would like further information or to discuss the post in more detail then please contact Helen Nicholls - hnicholls@egacademy.org.uk
If you are ambitious for yourself and want to be part of a great team at this really exciting time then we would like to meet you.
Closing date: Friday 22nd February 2019 at 12 noon
Interview date to be confirmed.
The MAT promotes the safety and well-being of all young people and site users, and will require the successful candidate to undergo Police Clearance.
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointments to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via the DBS and this school is committed to safe guarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people/vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
