We wish to appoint a Principal. Our purpose is clear; we are looking for an outstanding, motivated and inspirational leader who can build on the rapid progress made so far and can take the Academy to good at its next inspection.

You should also be a positive communicator who is able to motivate staff, students and parents/carers.

We pride ourselves in offering all our students the opportunity for high academic achievement and personal fulfilment through a wide range of curricular and extra-curricular activities. We also have very strong guidance and pastoral care systems which ensure that all students are valued and supported.

You will join an ambitious Executive Leadership Team and will support Senior Leaders in providing a high level strategic, management and operational direction for the Academy.

Ofsted

Message from Linda Rodham, Chief Executive Officer

It gives me great pleasure to be able to share our news with everyone, especially our students and community. For the first time since its creation in 2011, North Durham Academy has received Ofsted grading of “Good” in all categories. I am so proud of the students and staff who have worked so hard to achieve this recognition. North Durham Academy is a wonderful school and inspectors clearly recognised this. We have made improvements in every part of the school and we will continue to go from strength to strength, I am truly proud to be associated with our school and its community.

For interested candidates, I would encourage you to visit our fantastic campus to see for yourself the superb learning and working environment that we have. If you would like to arrange a visit, please email  our HR Team at recruitment@ncdat.org.uk whereupon a mutually convenient date and time will be arranged.
