Role

Our current Junior School Principal has been appointed to an Executive Principal role in another leading Independent School. Consequently, an amazing opportunity has arisen for a charismatic and inspiring leader to join our Senior Leadership Team in Term 3, 2018. Our Junior School encompasses Years 1-6 with 450 students, alongside our newly opened Early Learning Centre and well-established Kindergarten. The role offers the opportunity to continue the successes of the Junior School while continually improving relationships within the wider school and Kristin community. This role reports to the Executive Principal and focuses on the strategic and operational management of the school in alignment with the Middle and Senior schools. The capability to lead a diverse team effectively and creatively and contribute positively to the wider Senior Leadership Team is essential.

Experience needed

A strong and proven track record of innovation and educational excellence in Primary Education is essential for this role. You will have a passion for leading, motivating and developing people, a strong knowledge of curriculum and a focus on innovative student learning experiences. Kind and generous, you will have the proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with our students, staff, families, community, and prospective families. You will create a happy and positive environment, where children flourish with personalised care and attention and build a commitment to cultural diversity and understanding.

As a charismatic leader, you will have exceptional communication, time management and business skills along with strong financial management skills. Their capability to lead a diverse team effectively and creatively and contribute positively to the whole school Senior Leadership Team is essential.

As this role oversees the operations of our Early Learning Centre and Kindergarten, knowledge of these early childhood education would be advantageous, but not essential.
