Principal / Manager IEA College of TAFE - Technical and Further Education

IEA College of TAFE is owned and operated by the International Education Agency of Papua New Guinea. The College is located on the Campus of the IEA on Ela Beach, Port Moresby.

We are seeking applications from vocational educators with prior leadership experience to head the premier vocational education provider in Papua New Guinea.

The Board of the IEA is keen for the College to consolidate its role as an internationally recognised provider of vocational education and in doing so contribute to capacity building across PNG.

The College offers TAFE Certificate 2, 3 and 4 and Diploma qualifications, both campus based and online.

As well as a range of training programmes for industry and commerce.

Essential skills and experience:

Demonstrated capacity to provide educational leadership and manage change at the highest level.

Proven ability to identify growth opportunities and build strategic partnerships.

Sound understanding of current trends in vocational and higher education globally and preferably also in Papua New Guinea.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with industry and community stakeholders.

Experience in financial and resource planning and management.

Sensitivity when managing change.

Proficiency in managing the development and performance of all staff for observable improvement.

The role also entails contributing to the IEA’s system goals and direction.
