Job overview

PRINCIPAL, MENTONE GIRLS’ GRAMMAR – MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA

Because of current Australian visa regulations, only candidates with Australian/New Zealand residency or citizenship are eligible to apply.

Located in a beautiful bayside area about 20km from Melbourne’s city centre, Mentone Girls’ Grammar is a progressive and contemporary school. Founded in 1899 and with deep traditions in the education of girls, it is yet forward-thinking and innovative, ambitious to help girls aspire to excellence, make an impact and, as enterprising global citizens, rise boldly to the opportunities of their times.

The school has a record of excellent academic results and also offers a ground-breaking Enterprise Academy which links students’ learning to the world of future work and entrepreneurship; while the school’s WAVES principles and philosophies and its genuine dedication to personal wellbeing get to the heart of how girls think and feel.

Mentone Girls’ Grammar is a distinctive community, one which is authentic and engaged in collaboratively harnessing the expertise of students, teachers, parents, business and community leaders, global education partners, researchers and alumnae to develop ‘remarkable women’.

This exciting career opportunity arises due to the departure of Mrs Fran Reddan as Principal of Mentone Girls’ Grammar at the end of 2019 after 14 years of outstanding leadership. Council invites applications from experienced candidates with a commitment to girls’ education and an inspiring vision for the future of schooling.

Please obtain information about the position by contacting the consultant assisting the school, Kathy McLean, of Fish & Nankivell, on +61 414 376 698 or kathy@fnow.com.au.

Applications will close on Monday 28 January 2019. A concurrent search is being conducted.
