EtonHouse is honoured to be appointed in January 2014 to be a Pre-School Anchor Operator by the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) of Singapore’s Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). EtonHouse launched E-Bridge Pre-School as its vehicle for the Pre-School Anchor Operator Scheme to scale up the provision of good quality and affordable early childhood care and education services for the mass market.

E-Bridge Pre-School offers an inquiry based programme that is engaging and addresses children’s learning outcomes, encompassing skills, attitudes and knowledge across all domains of development. We are looking for an outstanding and inspirational Principal to join our Preschool in Singapore for November 2019.  The Principal is responsible for managing Centre operations and ensuring that Centre operations adhere to ECDA regulations and E-Bridge’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).  The Principal leads by fostering a shared vision among staff and upholds quality by nurturing professionalism and a culture of care, respect and collaboration within the Centre.  The Principal inspires professionalism through role modelling, and guiding the staff in designing and implementing a holistic curriculum underlined by E-Bridge’s values and philosophy.

Job Role and Responsibilities

Developing the child holistically

Curriculum & Pedagogy:

  • Drive the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative* teaching and learning approaches
  • Inspire a love for learning through leading the design of curricula and programmes at the centre
  • Lead in integrating the core values of early childhood education within curricula and programmes at the centre

 

Learning Environment:

  • Work with the pedagogy team to establish quality learning environments to support learning of children

 

Interactions & Relationships:

  • Mentor staff to enhance caring, trusting and respectful relationships with children

 

Health, Safety & Nutrition:

  • Establish policies and processes on appropriate course of action for the protection of children
  • Establish health, safety, nutritional and hygiene standards and procedures

 

Collaborating with Families and Community

Family and Community Partnerships:

  • Lead in developing strategies to establish collaborative partnerships with families
  • Establish a centre-wide culture of professional collaboration with community stakeholders

 

Building Professional Capacity

Professional Mastery:

  • Establish a culture of continuous learning
  • Develop team leaders through capability development and coaching
  • Contribute towards a learning organization
  • Foster initiative and enterprise in teams
  • Establish strategic processes and structures to engender a culture of mentoring

Requirements

  • A recognised Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from an approved institution and
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education (Leadership) or its equivalent;
  • At least 5 years working experience leading a pre-school
  • High EQ, matured with exemplary leadership and management skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Remuneration package includes a competitive salary based on relevant years of teaching experience.  A living allowance which includes housing will be provided alongside with airfare and shipping allowances.  Medical insurance coverage will also be provided to selected candidate and eligible dependants.
