The Council of Pymble Ladies’ College invites applications for the position of Principal, following the recent announcement that during 2019 Vicki Waters, the current Principal, will be leaving after more than a decade of exceptional service to the College.

Pymble is widely recognised for the world class education it offers: a holistic and well balanced personalised learning approach that meets the specific wellbeing, academic and co-curricular needs of each and every girl.

A Uniting Church non-selective independent school with over 2,200 day and boarding girls from Kindergarten to Year 12, the College has superb learning facilities set on 20 hectares of beautiful park-like grounds on Sydney’s Upper North Shore.

Providing inspiring leadership, the next Principal of Pymble will build strong and authentic relationships with the girls, staff and families in our community, advancing the forward-thinking educational vision that has been a hallmark of the College since it was founded and ensuring its continued sustainability. Empathy, energy, resilience and a willingness to support the Christian faith of the College are all essential attributes.

About Pymble Ladies' College

The College consists of five separate schools – Preparatory, Junior, Middle, Upper and Senior, on 20 landscaped hectares. Each school caters to the different stages of learning and has a focus on Personalised Education and the wellbeing of each individual student. Students enjoy a variety of first-class facilities including: state-of-the-art Aquatic and Fitness Centre with a 50m swimming and diving pool, weights area, cardio machines and athlete tracking software; sporting fields; tennis and netball courts; hockey fields; gymnasium; 750-seat performing arts centre; agriculture plot; libraries; and buildings dedicated to specialised subjects such as art, music, languages and the sciences.

Curriculum

Pymble Ladies’ College offers a wide range of subjects in accordance with the NSW Education Standards Authority. Students also have the opportunity to study co-curricular subjects such as robotics, filmmaking, dance and art. Specialised programs, including the Pymble Elite Sportswomen’s Program, Pymble Musicians’ Program and the Sokratis Program for high potential learners, as well as overseas exchanges and tours, ensure students have every chance to follow their passions and excel.
